Joel is the former Vice President of Ames, IA based Harrisvaccines which was acquired by Merck Animal Health in November of 2015. Currently he is the Director of Product for GlobalVetLINK, a animal health data repository company. He is also the Co-director of the Ag Startup Engine where he coordinates investor relations and mentoring. In his spare time, he participates in several advisory and mentoring roles to entrepreneurs and startups in the Agtech, Biotech, and Healthcare industries between Chicago, Iowa City, and Ames. Joel holds a degree in economics from the University of Iowa and a professional certificate in public relations, marketing, and non-fiction writing from Northwestern University.
