With a 21-year career in product development and commercialization, David has worked with some of the largest and innovative companies in the world.
In industries such as aquaculture, rail, mining and manufacturing, David has developed skills in engineering and business, having designed and managed projects in mechanical, software and electronics. These international projects have seen David implement sales, marketing, manufacturing, and aftermarket support, for a truly well-rounded set of abilities.

However, his greatest passion has always been agriculture and sustainability. In 2012, David took an idea he first created in the early 2000s and co-founded Davoodi with his wife, Samira. From 2012 to 2015, both David and Samira focused on the completion of this idea and four years later, in January 2016, the hard work paid off, with the release of their new product automed; a self-adjusting livestock medication system that not only delivers the correct dose but also records everything about who administered the dose, how and what type of medication.
2016 was a great year for David and automed as the agri-tech and livestock industry globally recognized automed as game changing technology. Because of this recognition, David was able to establish automed’s USA division, automed USA. This saw a dramatic increase in customers, distribution and strategic partners. David and Samira also were recognized on the international stage winning 7 industry awards both within Australia and internationally.

Having achieved such a great year in 2016, David’s focus on automed and its future direction only increased. 2017 has already seen great success as David has further developed automed’s networks locally and internationally, partnering with global animal safety corporation Neogen, along with one of Canada’s largest co-operatives, UFA. David continues to push automed to new heights, having just launched its very own inventory management application. David’s passion and drive for advancing the industry will see automed continue to move forward with future product ideas released onto the international stage.
